Terms and Conditions – Guardian Voices Monthly Prize Draws

Insight Community – Prize Draw Terms and Conditions

1. Eligibility

Prize draws are open to eligible members of the Insight Community who satisfy the participation criteria specified for the relevant prize draw.

Unless otherwise stated:

  • entrants must meet any minimum age requirements specified in the prize draw;

  • employees of the organisation, its group companies, research platform provider, agencies involved in administering the prize draw, and their immediate family members may not enter;

  • any additional eligibility restrictions will be clearly stated in the prize draw invitation.

By entering a prize draw, you confirm that you accept these Terms and Conditions.

2. How to Enter

Where prize draws are offered, entries are earned by participating in qualifying Insight Community activities during the promotional period.

Qualifying activities may include:

  • surveys;

  • polls;

  • discussion activities;

  • forums; or

  • other research activities identified by the organisation.

The entry mechanism, including any points or credits awarded for participation, will be described in the relevant prize draw announcement.

Only completed qualifying activities submitted before the stated closing date will be eligible.

No purchase is necessary.

Only one account per individual may be used to enter. Duplicate, fraudulent or automated entries may be disqualified.

3. Prize Draw Period

Each prize draw will have a clearly stated opening and closing date.

Entries received after the published deadline will not be included in that prize draw unless otherwise stated.

4. Selection of Winners

Winners will be selected at random from all eligible entries received during the applicable prize draw period.

The draw will be carried out using a fair and impartial random selection process.

The organisation's decision is final.

5. Prizes

The number, nature and value of prizes will be described in the prize draw announcement.

Prizes:

  • are non-transferable;

  • cannot normally be exchanged for cash unless stated otherwise;

  • may be substituted with an alternative prize of equal or greater value if circumstances beyond the organisation's control make this necessary.

6. Notification and Claiming Prizes

Winners will normally be contacted using the email address associated with their Insight Community account.

If a winner does not respond within the period specified in the notification, the organisation reserves the right to withdraw the prize and select an alternative winner.

Unless otherwise stated, prizes will be issued within a reasonable period after eligibility has been confirmed.

7. Publicity

Where required by applicable law, the organisation may publish or make available the surname and county, region or country of residence of prize winners.

If permitted by law, winners may be invited to participate in reasonable publicity relating to the prize draw. Participation is voluntary unless otherwise required by law or specified in the prize draw terms.

8. Personal Information

Personal information collected as part of the prize draw will be used to:

  • administer the prize draw;

  • verify eligibility;

  • contact winners;

  • arrange delivery of prizes; and

  • comply with applicable legal and regulatory obligations.

Personal information will be processed in accordance with the organisation's Privacy Notice.

9. Liability

The organisation accepts no responsibility for entries that are lost, delayed, incomplete or cannot be processed because of technical failures or circumstances outside its reasonable control.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, the organisation shall not be liable for any indirect or consequential loss arising from participation in the prize draw or acceptance of a prize.

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability where such exclusion would be unlawful.

10. Cancellation or Changes

The organisation reserves the right to amend, suspend or cancel a prize draw where this becomes necessary due to circumstances beyond its reasonable control, including technical failures, fraud, security concerns or legal requirements.

Any significant changes will be communicated through the Insight Community where reasonably practicable.

11. General

The organisation reserves the right to disqualify any participant who:

  • breaches these Terms and Conditions;

  • provides false or misleading information;

  • attempts to manipulate the prize draw; or

  • behaves in a way that is fraudulent or otherwise inconsistent with the spirit of the promotion.

The organisation's decision regarding eligibility, prize allocation and interpretation of these Terms and Conditions is final.

12. Governing Law

These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which the organisation is established, unless otherwise stated.

Any disputes relating to the prize draw shall be subject to the jurisdiction of the appropriate courts of that jurisdiction.
